VARD 7 507

The VARD 7 507 is a shallow draft, 15 knot landing craft tank designed for the projection and support of forces, amphibious operations and landing, support of maritime special ops, patrol of EEZs, and humanitarian assistance. The vessel is fitted with a watertight bow ramp providing access to a partly open and partly covered deck providing flexible logistical configurations. Vehicles and troops can be loaded via the pier or beached ashore using the bow ramp facilitates.

It is equipped with a fast response craft on the starboard side of the vessel to facilitate boarding operations and to be used to muster liferafts in an emergency scenario. A winch only helicopter location is provided forward of the bridge for the winching of personnel.
