VARD 7 110

Type:Patrol Vessel
Class:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 110

The Vard 7 110 is a dynamically stable design capable of multiple missions in naval operations, maritime security, border patrol and search and rescue operations.

The platform is capable of safely launching and recovering cutter boats and helicopters in sea state 5. Stabilizer fins provide excellent sea keeping characteristics through a range of operations.

For optimum flexibility and fuel efficiency, the vessel is powered by diesel engines for high speed operations and electric motors for loitering and maximum range operations.

A flexible hangar space large enough to accommodate an SH/MH-60 Seahawk is provided with dedicated workshops and stores.

VARD 7 100

Type:Patrol Vessel
Class:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 100

The VARD 7 100 is a dynamically stable design that enables safe launch and recovery of cutter boats and helicopters in Sea State 6.

The innovative combination of traditional fin stabilizers for high speed and gyro stabilization for low speed provides excellent seakeeping characteristics and the best of both operating states with low risk.

In order to provide fuel efficiency and greater range, this vessel is powered by CODELAD (combined diesel and electric) which allows for instantaneous changeover.

The design has ample space to oversee and direct boarding operations from the bridge.

VARD 7 095

Type:Patrol Vessel
Class:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 095

The VARD 7 095 patrol vessel is designed as a long range weapon platform with integral helicopter capable for operation in maritime EEZ including littoral waters in minimum depth of 6 meters.

The main roles of the vessel are coastal patrol, fisheries protection, smuggling and anti-piracy, search and rescue and ocean surveillance.

The vessel is also capable of limited pollution response against marine oil spill, undertaking wartime roles and operating a twin engine helicopter for long range.

VARD 7 090

Type:Offshore Patrol
Class:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 090

LÉ Samuel Beckett is a VARD 7 090 patrol vessel designed for the Irish Naval Service. Its primary purpose is to patrol the European Union zone adjacent to the Republic of Ireland to implement fishery protection, conservation, and management.

The ship has an all-steel hull with high level automation incorporated into the ship’s systems which allows it to be operated with just 44 crew including 8 officers.

Its sister ships, LÉ James Joyce, LÉ William Butler Yeats, and LÉ George Bernard Shaw, were delivered in 2015, 2016, and 2018.

VARD 7 085

Type:Offshore Patrol
Class:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 085

The VARD 7 085 is designed to conduct maritime surveillance, in conjunction with maritime air patrol assets, to monitor New Zealand’s EEZ, the South Pacific and in the Southern Ocean. Tasks in the southern half of the EEZ are mostly offshore, but activity in the south almost doubles during winter, coinciding with the worst sea states.

HMNZS ‘Wellington’ and ‘Otago’ were delivered to the New Zealand Navy in 2010. Since delivery, these patrol vessels have proven the quality of their design by enduring Sea State 9 conditions in the Ross Sea, and other expeditions in the Antarctic.

VARD 7 080

Type:Patrol Vessel
Class:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 080

The VARD 7 080 ‘Roisin Class’ patrol vessel is designated to patrol the EU zone adjacent to the Republic of Ireland to implement Fishery protection, conservation and management.

The ship has an all-steel hull based on the Mauritian Vigilant patrol vessel launched in 1995, but without the helicopter deck and hangar facilities. The high level of automation incorporated into the ship’s systems allows the ship to be operated with just 47 crew including eight officers. The crew is provided with comfortable accommodation.

VARD 7 072

Type:Offshore Patrol Vessel
Class:Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 072

The VARD 7 072 is an offshore patrol vessel design that is economical to construct, maintain and operate, yet provides a high degree of utility, safety and crew comfort on long patrols. This vessel meets or exceeds US Navy criteria, including the Ocean Service 1(a) requirement that ensures the vessel is able to weather the full force of tropical cyclones. It has been designed to withstand a minimum assumed wind speed of 100 knots on the beam. The main duties are to carry out search and rescue operations, patrol exclusive economic zones, and prevent and detect any illegal activities within the maritime zone.

VARD 7 055

Type:Patrol Vessel
Class:Patrol Vessel
Design:VARD 7 055

The VARD 7 055 is designed to undertake surveillance, patrol and response operations and other military tasks such as protection of territorial sea and EEZ. This offshore patrol vessel is fitted with surveillance systems to enable detection and prosecution of surface contacts ranging from small wooden sailing craft to larger vessels.

It is also capable of launching and recovering sequentially, and operating concurrently, two sea boats as well as conducting helicopter transfer of personnel and light stores at sea.

VARD 6 515

Type:Ferry
